The Origin of onlinerakebackpoker.com

Onlinerakebackpoker.com was created by me (Naishster) on 8th June 2009 and was set up to introduce new poker players to rakeback. When I started out playing online poker I had nobody to teach me the valuable lesson about what rakeback is, how it works and where to get it. I can still remember when I first found out about it, I didn’t know if I should be angry because I had lost out or ecstatic because of all the money I would get back.

My idea was to  get away from being another boring site like the others, I wanted a place where players could socialize, learn from each other, find interesting and amusing posts as well as the affiliate links (yes, I would like to make a little cash!)  you find everywhere else. Its been a lot of work setting the place up and filling it with good things while holding down a full time job and not everything has been put in place yet but I’m working on it. (Playing poker too often seems to get in the way too! :-p)

So far there’s the Olde poker curiosity shoppe, a shop dedicated to everything poker. A Free Bankrolls section, a link to find Free Poker books and some poker software/tool links are posted around the site,  most of which you can try out for free and buy later if it’s suitable for your needs. Yes, I will make a bit of cash if you buy via my links but I hope if you intend to purchase products anyway you will buy through this site  if you appreciate the content of onlinerakebackpoker.com. Same goes with the rakeback deals, they are just like the deals you’ll find everywhere else but most of those guys don’t give you a lot in return. Your choice who you deal with but again, I hope the info etc I put out here for you makes you consider me rather than the fat-cats when you choose. (erm . . .remember to delete cookies if you visited the product site before or somebody else gets the commission! lol)

Ideally this will be a site where players can come to find like minded people, learn from each other, make friends, have some fun and find new poker stuff.

I have the intention to get a forum up and running at some point when members increase but that’s a while off I think at time of posting. (if anyone is interested in setting it up and moderating it that would be fantastic by the way!)
